The Catholic Organisation for Relief and Development (Cordaid) wishes to award two organisations showing outstanding commitment and leadership in strengthening the link between community- and formal health and care services for people living with HIV.


The Catholic Organisation for Relief and Development (Cordaid) wishes to award two organisations showing outstanding commitment and leadership in strengthening the link between community- and formal health and care services for people living with HIV.
     The objective of the award is to reward 1 Faith Based Organisation (FBO) and 1 Civil Society Organisation (CSO) with a prize of €10.000 each for work done in the above-mentioned field.
     All organisations willing to apply for this award should complete this application form. Deadline for submissions is Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Applications received after this date and time will not be accepted.
     Only complete applications will be considered. The total application should not exceed 1500 words (excluding contact information and references).
     Applications must be e-mailed as PDF or Microsoft Word (.doc or docx) file attachments to HIV_and_AIDS_Award@cordaid.nl.
     You can apply yourself or nominate another organisation. In case of multiple applications, separate e-mails should be sent for each application.

Soliciting Nominations for COMMUNITY delegation members for the Global Fund Board delegation of the Communities Living with HIV, TB and affected by Malaria

 


The Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria has issued a call for applications to solicit nominations for COMMUNITY delegation members for the Global Fund Board delegation of the Communities Living with HIV, TB and affected by Malaria for years 2012 through 2014.
Women, young persons, drug users, sex workers and communities living and affected by the above-mentioned three diseases can be nominated for the Delegation. Applicants can be from the following regions:
  • Asia Pacific
  • Caribbean
  • Latin America
  • Eastern Europe and Central Asia
  • Mediterranean and North Africa
The Delegation actively participates in formulating policy and strategy positions on key issues of relevance and works closely with other delegations (in particular the Developed and Developing Country NGO Delegations) to ensure that issues relevant to communities infected and affected by the three diseases are effectively addressed.
Delegation members serve a three‐year term, dependant of performance‐based assessment a two‐year extension of this term may be granted by the leadership. The new Alternate Board Member and ad hoc committee representatives are chosen from the Communities Delegation. Successful applicants will begin their term in January 2012 through December 2014.
